While the 770 gets the top honors, the iRobot Roomba 760 does a fine job at automating all your floor cleaning requirements, tackling up to 98 percent of the dust, dirt and pet hair. Just press a button and watch as its iAdapt Responsive Technology starts making symphony. You will be amazed by its prowess of dealing with hard-to-reach spots, dealing with multiple floors and more. Packed with all the latest technology and advanced features, it comes with Dual HEPA grade filters to help tackle fine dust and leave fresher air behind. With the Series 2 Dirt Detect module, it can perform highly concentrated cleaning over 99 percent of your home’s entire floor space. This model comes with two Virtual Walls that helps in controlling the access of the robot to various areas of the house and with on-board scheduling, let it clean when you want – even when you aren’t present. The touchpad controls suffice in tackling every aspect of cleaning and with an included remote, you don’t even have to stoop low. The iRobot Roomba 760 comes with a 1 year limited period warranty and 6 months on the battery.
Plain and simple, the question is whether iRobot Roomba 760 does a good job with carpet. Well for starters this is supposedly a direct upgrade over the 560 Roomba and in terms of this, it definitely does an impressive job. The areas where you will notice a large difference is in transitioning from light pile to heavy pile or rug areas. Secondly, unlike before now the 760 comes with a larger better designed bin so it will go longer on carpet regardless of how many passes it decides.
As for bare floor, the brush designs have undergone a significant improvement making the suction system better to tackle any type of hard floor. Not only does it transition well from carpet to hardfloor and vice versa but also handles rugs and tiled floors equally great. The single major improvement you will notice is the reduced passes it makes, which is significant considering that the algorithm and scheduling mechanism continues to be the same in the 760 series.
Significantly greater than previous models and at par with higher versions such as the 770 and 780, I personally believe that if you are searching for the best robotic vacuum with the least expenditure then it is the 760 iRobot Roomba.

As with all iRobot Roomba 700 series models, the 760 makes no noise at all such that it can be scheduled for night time cleaning while you are asleep.
Ease Of Use:
Two things to keep in mind here, first it doesn’t use a normal filter but a heavy duty HEPA grade filter and second it has an improved chassis and airflow mechanism. All this translates to easier handling and lesser dependency on manual interference. Once you set it, press the start button and off it goes. As it drains out of power, it automatically makes its way back to the docking station and resumes cleaning once charged enough.
iRobot Roomba 760
Never had an iRobot Roomba had problems with Pet hair and this continues to be the same with the Roomba 760 as it is equally adept at tackling pet hair difficulties. In fact, I felt that it did a slightly better job, possibly because of the new bin design.
With so many variants and versions from iRobot populating the market, other brands delivering equally impressive machinery I was hard pressed to find a clear winner. The iRobot Roomba 760 though stands out from the lot because of its price tag and ample offerings. Hardly anything lacking, loads of dependability and performance, this is the robovac to own for all.
